Did you know you can use the Heimlich Heroes program to help your scouting troop earn their emergency preparedness or first-aid badge? The Heimlich Maneuver is a critical piece of training for young people.
Many scouting groups have used this life-saving program to help members earn a first-aid badge and a Heimlich Heroes patch. Some groups have even used it in conjunction with other first-aid education, working with their local fire department and paramedics to also teach kids about fire safety, 9-1-1 calls, and how to prevent and treat minor injuries.
Heimlich Heroes for kids is perfect for grades 1-7 and Heimlich Heroes for Teens and Adults is designed for those in grade 8 and older. Our programs are fun, educational and interactive. We prepare and teach youth how to successfully handle a choking emergency and give them the confidence to save a life!
